Pune Traffic News: Daily commuters in Pune were stuck in a horrific jam during peak traffic hours on Thursday between 10:30 am and 12 pm on BMCC Road. The reason for the traffic jam was the felling of branches of a lemon tree, next to the Agharkar Research Institute.

According to reports, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) said that it was necessary to remove the dried up tree to prevent any untoward incident as it would have fallen anytime. The activity couldn't be postponed as there were a lot of shops and a steady flow of traffic in and around the area.

According to local citizens, neither the traffic authorities nor the PMC had informed the commuters to take a diversion due to the tree felling activities. Locals complained that neither a board was put up to warn the people was nor any information went out as a warning to people to avoid the area during rush hours.
