Rajnath Singh lauds ISRO's courage & committment: 'India is proud'
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stood in solidarity with ISRO after the space organization lost contact with the Vikram Lander during its decent to the moon.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday has stood in solidarity with ISRO after the space organization lost contact with the Vikram Lander during its decent to the surface of the Moon.
The Defence Minister has further expressed his gratitute and said that the country is proud of ISRO and all the scientists who strived for Chandrayaan 2. Singh also asserted that ISRO's mission to the Moon is bound to succeed with its courage and committment.

ISRO confirms losing contact with Vikram Lander
ISRO had earlier confirmed communication had been lost with the Vikram lander at an altitude of 2.1km over the lunar surface and that the data pertaining to this was being analysed. Up until that point, the descent was going as planned and normal performance had been observed.
