Vijayapura: In a recent video that emerged on social media showed Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah refusing to enter the sanctum Santorum of the Vagdevi temple in Vijayapura district. The Congress leader faced major backlash from the BJP, which dubbed him as ‘anti-Hindu.’

In the video, Siddaramaiah was seen refusing to enter the temple even after repeated requests to come inside. Instead of stepping-in, the Chief Minister sent Minister for Large and Medium Industries MB Patil inside the temple.

The video also showed people requesting Minister Patil to invite CM Siddaramaiah inside along with him. However, when Patil invited him, the CM made a gesture hinting that he won’t enter.

Real face of CM Siddaramaiah: BJP

Taking strong cognisance of the video, the Karnataka BJP unit unleashed a blistering attack on Siddaramaiah, by saying that the incident has further exposed the real face of the Karnataka CM.

“This is the real face of CM Siddaramaiah. He had allotted Rs 10,000 crore for minorities and did not bother to give a single rupee fund to Ayodhya Sri Ram Mandir," the Karnataka BJP wrote on X.

“Mr. CM Siddaramaiah, you visit dargahs and masjids accept everything that they give and give poses. You don’t have time to show respect to the goddess for the welfare of the land. Why do you have so much aversion towards Hindu gods and Hindu people,” BJP questioned.
