Siwan Election Result 2024: JD (U)'s Vijaylakshmi Devi Secures Victory

Siwan Lok Sabha Election Result 2024 LIVE: Vote counting for the Siwan Lok Sabha seat will begin at 8 AM. While all 40 seats of Bihar will be closely monitored, Siwan will be in the spotlight as the constituency is set to witness a triangular contest among Hena Shehab (Independent), Vijaylakshmi Devi (NDA) and Awadh Bihari Choudhary (RJD). The voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in Siwan occurred on May 25. Siwan Lok Sabha constituency comprises Siwan, Badharia, Daraunda, Jiradei, Raghunathpur, and Darauli assembly seats, boasting over 24 lakh voters, with approximately 18 lakh in Siwan alone. The seat is all set to witness a triangular contest among Hena Shehab (Independent), Vijaylakshmi Devi (NDA) and Awadh Bihari Choudhary (RJD). Shahabuddin, popularly known as 'Don of Siwan' was elected to the lower house of the Parliament several times before he was disqualified after getting convicted of kidnapping and killing students. The Siwan Lok Sabha constituency comprises Siwan, Badharia, Daraunda, Jiradei, Raghunathpur and Darauli assembly seats showing off 24 lakh voters, with approximately 18 lakh in Siwan alone.

• Janata Dal (United) leader Vijaylakshmi Devi leading with 25,235 seats. Meanwhile, Independent candidate late RJD MP Shahabuddin's wife Hena Shahab is trailing. 
• According to the Election Commission of India's website, JD(U) candidate Vijaylakshmi Devi leads in Siwan. 

• The counting of votes began at 8 am.
