New Delhi: Actor Rajinikanth refused to comment on the ongoing Tirupati Laddoo controversy. He was clicked by the paparazzi at the Chennai airport where a reporter asked him to react to the row over the presence of animal fats in the laddus. Thalaivar kept smiling as he told the reporters "Sorry, no comment".

The video of his tiny byte is now going viral on social media. Rajinikanth has always avoided commenting on contentious matters. This was just another case where he decided to stay silent rather than express his views on an issue which has taken the nation by storm.

Superstar Rajinikanth, who is often seen avoiding public discussions on controversial issues, has once again opted to remain silent. The actor was recently spotted at the Chennai airport, where paparazzi captured him being approached by a reporter seeking his opinion on the ongoing Tirupati Laddoo controversy, which revolves around allegations of the presence of animal fats in the prasadam offered at the temple.

When asked to react to the heated debate, Rajinikanth simply smiled and responded, "Sorry, no comment," before continuing on his way. Despite his brief interaction, the video has quickly gone viral on social media, with fans and the public sharing it widely.

On the other hand, the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department collected samples of 'elaichi daana' or cardamom seeds being distributed as 'prasad' at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya and sent them for testing.

The action was taken following a complaint lodged through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS), Assistant Food Commissioner Manik Chand Singh said.

Singh said the samples were procured from Haiderganj, where the cardamom seed offerings are prepared and sent to the Jhansi State Laboratory for comprehensive testing and evaluation.

Prakash Gupta, the officer in charge of the Ram Temple trust, revealed that on average, around 80,000 packets of cardamom seeds are distributed daily as a sacred offering.

Amid a row over the alleged presence of animal fat in laddus at the Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh, the chief priest of the Ram temple here on Thursday questioned the purity of ghee being sold nationwide and said 'prasad' should be prepared under the supervision of temple priests only.
