New Delhi: Spiritual leader Guru Devkinandan Maharaj, in an exclusive conversation with Republic Media Network's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami , vociferously pushed for the proposed establishment of the Sanatan Board. Notably, the proposal for a Sanatan Board has taken centre stage amidst ongoing debates about the rights of the Waqf Board and its implications for religious practices in India.
Responding to Arnab Goswami’s question on the need to bring the Sanatan Board, Guru Devkinandan Maharaj emphasized his commitment to safeguarding Sanatan traditions, religious sites, and the integrity of Prasad. He cited a recent controversy involving cow fat in Prasad at the Tirupati Balaji temple. He expressed concerns that individuals managing these religious spaces may lack an understanding of Hindu customs, potentially leading to cultural dilution.
In response to the question of practicality, Maharaj outlined a vision for the Sanatan Board, suggesting that it would be comprised of religious leaders and Shankaracharyas, steering clear of political or bureaucratic influence.
He urged Hindus to unite, announcing a significant Sanatan Dharma Sansad scheduled for November 16 in Delhi, where the board's structure would be debated among prominent religious figures.

Republic Media Network’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami also assured Maharaj of extending support by giving adequate media coverage to the event scheduled for November 16 in Delhi.
During the conversation, Maharaj also addressed the notion of Hindus playing the “elder brother” role in society, arguing that past concessions have often led to severe outcomes for the community. He warned against complacency, using the story of a frog in slowly boiling water to illustrate the dangers of passive acceptance or the habit of adjusting.
