Mumbai: A 19-year-old college student, identified as Vidhi Pramod Kumar Singh, ended her life by jumping from the 14th floor of a residential building in Mumbai's Andheri area on Wednesday morning. The tragic event unfolded at the Millionaire Heritage Society on S V Road in the western suburb.

Extreme step due to depression

According to a police official from D N Nagar police station, a one-page note left behind by the deceased indicated that she had been grappling with depression, leading her to take this drastic step. Vidhi had been residing in the building for the past few years as a paying guest, while her family members lived in the neighboring Thane. She was a student at Mithibai College in Vile Parle.
