Showing displeasure, the Ramayana-famed doubted the possibility of smooth running of the coalition government for the next five years.

Sunil Lahri posted a video message on Instagram saying, "Jai Shree Ram! I am very disappointed to see the election results. That is why I urged people to cast votes but no one paid heed. Now, a coalition government will be formed. Will this government be able to continue its term till next 5 years? Ponder over it.”

“Anyway, I am happy that two people that I like very much have won the elections. One of them is Kangana Ranauat, a symbol of women empowerment, who won from Mandi and another is a big brother like figure to me, Aruni Govil, who won from Meerut.I congratulate both of them. Jai Shree Ram!,” he said while concluding his post.

He captioned the video, “I was very disappointed to see the election results, firstly the voting was low and then this result.. But I am happy about one thing that 2 of my favourite won the election... Congratulations(sic).”

In a series of Instagram stories, the actor also lashed out at voters in Ayodhya for not voting for BJP. Ayodhya is a part of Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency, where Samajwadi Party's Akshaya Yadav claimed the seat by over 89,000 votes, defeating BJP candidate Lallu Singh.

"We have forgotten that they are the same Ayodhya residents who had questioned the virtue of Sita after she returned from exile. Even if God himself would appear in front of them, they would reject him. Ayodhya has always betrayed its true king," one of the posts read.

"I salute the greatness of Ayodhya residents. You didn't even spare Mata Sita, so how could you not betray the ones who took Ram out of a tent and enthroned him in a grand temple? India will never view you kindly. I salute you," another post read.
