TMC leader shot dead in West Bengal’s Baharampur by bike-borne assailants

TMC leader Satyen Chowdhury, who served as the party's general secretary for Murshidabad, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Sunday afternoon.

West Bengal: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Satyen Chowdhury, who served as the party's general secretary for Murshidabad, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Baharampur, West Bengal on Sunday afternoon. 

Despite swift efforts to rush Chowdhury to a nearby hospital, the leader was declared dead on arrival, leaving the TMC and the local community in deep sorrow.

Officials reported that the assailants, arriving on bikes, targeted Chowdhury at close range, firing a fatal shot that claimed his life. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and authorities are actively investigating the incident.
