New Delhi: Unhappy over the birth of two girl child, a man has allegedly killed and buried his twin daughters after they were discharged from the hospitalin the national capital. The infants were reportedly taken from their mother by her husband and family members before being killed. The man's family is accused of harassing his wife for not giving birth to a son.

Upon receiving a complaint, Delhi Police swiftly took action and exhumed the bodies of the infants under judicial orders on June 5 and sent them for autopsy. The exact cause of their death is still unknown.

Neeraj Solanki, the accused father, has been on the run since the incident was reported to the police, while the twins' grandfather has been arrested on murder charges. Puja, the mother of the twins, gave birth on May 30 in Rohtak, Haryana. After her discharge from the hospital, her husband Neeraj allegedly took the babies away from her.

When she left the car to go to her father's house on June 1, Neeraj made her believe he would follow with the two babies in another car. However, he changed his car's route midway.

Puja's brother Jugnu attempted to contact Neeraj, but he kept avoiding their calls. Two days later, a police complaint was filed after Jugnu learned that the babies had been buried in Pooth Kalan, outer Delhi.

Puja, who tied the knot with Neeraj in 2022, informed the police that her in-laws harassed her over dowry and pressured her to give birth to a son. In her complaint, she stated that they were not happy with the twin girls.
