Tirunelveli: As many as 6 people were injured after a gas cylinder exploded at a shop in Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli. A video of the cylinder has gone viral on social media, which was later confirmed by the local police. 

The cylinder blast happened at a push-cart eatery section in Tirunelveli. The explosion took place at North Car Street in the Tamil Nadu town, and the injured included a man employed with the mobile eatery.
 

The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital. 2 nearby shops were completely gutted by the fire. Since the incident took place when there were not many people around, a major disaster was avoided, said the Police.
