Tamil Nadu: A team of doctors in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur have been widely praised on social media for their heroic efforts in saving a 14-year-old girl. The team has performed a bronchoscopy to remove a needle lodged in her lung, and news of their success has gone viral.

At Sri Kamatchi Medical Centre, doctors have removed a 1.5-inch needle from the teen’s lung in just three and a half minutes using advanced bronchoscopy technology.

PTI has shared a video on X along with a brief description. “Doctors of a private hospital in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur have set a record by removing a four-cm-long needle from a 14-year-old girl's lung without using a knife in three and a half minutes. The girl had swallowed the needle while dressing. Doctors of the hospital have used a modern technology called Bronchoscopy to remove the needle,” they have written.

The video has crossed one lakh views, and the numbers are increasing. The share has further accumulated nearly 400 likes. People have praised the doctors and have written heartfelt comments on the post.
