New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall expected in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana on Friday, July 19. Additionally, similar weather conditions have been forecasted for parts of Karnataka and Gujarat. A red warning from the IMD indicates that isolated extremely heavy rainfall is highly likely over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra from July 18 to 20 and Vidarbha, south Chhattisgarh on July 19 and 20, and south Odisha on July 19.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted continued rainfall in Mumbai until July 19. Several areas in Mumbai have been waterlogged, slowing down traffic, after heavy rain lashed the city yesterday. The downpour continued unabated throughout Thursday with the Colaba station recording nearly 79 mm of rain between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm while the suburbs received moderate rainfall of nearly 41 mm in the same duration.
