Barpeta: In a recent address during the 'Ajmal Super40 foundation program' in Barpeta district, AIUDF supremo Badaruddin Ajmal questioned girls for wearing makeup, stating, "This is an educational program, not a film function." Ajmal also raised concerns about young Muslim girls not wearing the Hijab and suggested that girls in makeup should receive marriage proposals, emphasizing parents' responsibility in monitoring their daughters.

“Pehle insan baniye, baad mein doctor aur engineer. (Aim to be a human being first before dreaming about becoming a doctor or an engineer,” he added.

Ajmal advocates for early marriages

The controversial remarks follow Ajmal's recent statement advocating for early marriages, claiming that “Hindus should adopt the Muslim formula and get their children married at a young age.”

“Muslim men marry at the age of 20-22, and Muslim women also marry at 18 after the permissible age by the government. On the other hand, (Hindus) keep one two or three illegal wives before marriage, they don’t give birth to babies, enjoy themselves and save money…,” the AIDUF chief said.

“After the age of 40, they get married under parental pressure. So, how can they expect that they will bear children after 40? If you sow in fertile land then only you can bear good crops there will be growth,” he added.
