Wipro's 'New Hybrid Work Policy': 3 Days from Office Now Mandatory
IT services company Wipro has mandated all the employees to work from an office at least thrice a week from this month.
New Delhi: IT services company Wipro has mandated all the employees to work from an office at least thrice a week from this month.
A company-wide email was sent to the employees to report to the office three days a week.
Wipro Chief Human Resources Officer Saurabh Govil announced the new policy on emphasizing that employees will work from the office three days a week.
Employees would also have the option to seek remote working for specified days in a year, he added.
He highlighted the company's focus on a "balanced" work environment that fosters "innovation" through in-person collaboration, while also respecting the personal needs of its employees.
"As an organization which focuses on profit with purpose, we are focused on a high-performance work culture that empowers associates to do their best work while prioritising their well-being," Govil wrote on the professional networking platform LinkedIn.
The hybrid mode will offer employees an option to work remotely on specified days during the year, especially in cases where they need to focus on personal well-being or caregiving responsibilities, Govil said in the LinkedIn post.
Several organizations like Amazon are shifting back to the hybrid mode as they require employees to return to work at company offices five days per week beginning next year, toughening a prior three-day mandate.
