Ayodhya: A world record is being set in Ayodhya at the ghats of the Sarayu River in Tapasvi Chhavani, where a seer is constructing the world's largest earthen lamp (diya) named 'Dashrath Deepak,' with a circumference of 100 meters.

The journey of the diya is described by Pithadeshwar Jagatguru Paramhans Acharya, who also acquired 100 tonnes of sand for its construction from Ram Ghat. Around 1,000 tonnes of sand is being used for the world's largest diya in Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony on January 22.

To create this diya, sand has been gathered for over a year, sourced from all 'shaktipeeths' across the country. Interestingly, the seer also explains that several team members were sent to gather sand from the Hinglaj Shaktipeeth in Pakistan. Additionally, sand has been brought in from Nepal, Prayagraj, Kashi, and other religiously significant places.

Apart from this, the cotton thread is also being made from quintals of cotton, which will then be used to make 'batti.' Several tankers of oil will be used in the burning of the batti as well.
