Mumbai: More trouble mounts for Mihir Shah, the 24-year-old man accused in the Worli hit-and-run, as fresh details emerge of him using a fake ID at the bar where he along with his friends went before the fatal crash, as per sources.
An investigation revealed that Mihir allegedly used a fake ID that showed him as 27 years old before they were allowed in the pub.
Mihir was arrested on Tuesday this week after a three-day chase. Subsequently, the Mumbai Police produced him before a metropolitan magistrate court in Dadar which sent him to police custody till July 16.
Shah allegedly rammed his BMW into a two-wheeler, killing Kaveri Nakhwa (45), who was riding a pillion, and injuring her husband Pradeep Nakhwa, last week during the early hours of Sunday.
After the fatal crash came to light, Mihir's father and Shiv Sena leader from Palghar district, Rajesh Shah, was also arrested. Additionally, Rajendra Singh, who was also allegedly present in the car at the time of the accident on July 7 morning was also arrested.
However, Rajesh was later granted bail. The car that Mihir was driving was registered in the name of his father.
