As April approaches, here is a full list of bank holidays according to the RBI. The first holiday will be on April 1 for the commercial banks' annual inventory. Apart from the second and fourth Saturdays, banks will remain closed for at least 10 weekdays throughout the month.
Bank Holidays in April 2025:
April 1, 2025 – Sarhul – Jharkhand
April 5, 2025 – Babu Jagjivan Ram's Birth Anniversary – Telangana
April 10, 2025 – Mahavir Jayanti/Mahavir Janmakalyanak – States like Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand will observe a public holiday.
April 12, 2025– All the banks of the country will remain closed on April 12 due to the second Saturday of the month.
April 14, 2025 – The birthday of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Ambedkar Jayanti, and various spring festivals (Vishu, Maha Vishuva Sankranti, Tamil New Year 's Day, Bohag Bihu, Cheiraoba) – Tripura, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, Goa, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
April 15, 2025 – Bengali New Year, Himachal Day, Bohag Bihu – Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh , West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, and Assam.April 16, 2025 – Bohag Bihu – Assam
April 18, 2025– Good Friday – Banks in Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, Delhi, Goa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, and Kerala will be closed.
April 21, 2025 – Garia Puja – Tripura.
April 29, 2025 – Bhagvan Shri Parshuram Jayanti – Himachal Pradesh.
April 30, 2025 – Basava Jayanti/Akshaya Tritiya – Karnataka.

In cases of emergency, Internet banking, mobile banking, ATMs, and other banking facilities will be available on the bank holiday closures.
