On October 4, 2022, a day before Dussehra, the first-ever autonomous and solo Hindu temple in Dubai opened its doors. But thanks to Nupur Sharma, the inside footage of the temple is now publicly available for the first time. "Dubai ka pehla hindu temple, Jai Sri Ram, Jai Govinda," she tweeted after sharing the video. In Jebel Ali, the temple is situated in "Worship Village." Along with a gurdwara, the region is home to other churches.

In 2020, the temple's foundation was laid, satisfying the region's Hindu community's ten-year demand. The temple is now home to sixteen deity idols. It is made up of elaborate pillars, geometric patterns in Arabic and Hindu languages on the exterior, and ceiling bells. The temple also features an installation of the Shri Guru Granth Sahib.

There were thousands of devotees present for the temple's soft opening on September 1, 2022. The main hall's central dome, which houses the deity idols, now has a 3D-printed pink lotus placed upon it. On any given day, the temple can hold up to 1200 devotees. The temple administration has implemented a QR-based appointment system on its web platforms to facilitate the "darshan" experience for the devotees. The temple's official website states that it is open from 6:30 AM to 8 PM.
