Bollywood Actor Sonu Sood Rallies Support for Baby Sehrish Fatima’s Lifesaving Treatment

New Delhi, 23^rdSeptember, 2024 – Bollywood star and philanthropist Sonu Sood has stepped forward in support of seven-month-old Sehrish Fatima from Delhi, who is battling Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1. Her life-saving treatment requires INR 16 crore, and the crowdfunding campaign led by Impact Guru has garnered immense support, raising INR 1.13 crore with the help of 1.9 lakh donors so far. 

Sonu Sood, known for his humanitarian work, has made a heartfelt appeal to the public, urging more people to come forward and contribute to Sehrish's cause, “Sehrish needs our help now more than ever. I urge everyone to donate and help save her life. A small contribution can make a world of difference for this little girl and her family.”

SMA Type 1 is a rare genetic disorder that causes severe muscle weakness, affecting the ability to perform basic functions like breathing and swallowing. Without treatment, children diagnosed with this condition have a limited life expectancy. Sehrish’s family needs the collective support of millions to raise the funds required for her treatment, and with Sonu Sood’s backing, the campaign is gaining momentum.
