The novel mainly centres around the second oldest child in their family named Elizabeth Bennet, the dynamic protagonist of the story, who figures the repercussions of untimely judgements and eventually learns to appreciate the difference between superficial goodness and actual goodness. All the mother wants is their children to get married to dynamic, wealthy men. Darcy, the richest character in the story, is termed to be very arrogant and anti-social. Sparks fly when spirited Elizabeth Bennet meets rich and proud Darcy and makes him fall in love with her, a woman beneath his class.

2. The Great Gatsby
The book that was written in the early 1920s by F. Scott Fitzgerald, it is one of the most beautiful romance classics. Midwesterner Nick Carraway, a character in the book, moves to a long island called West Egg and ends up living next to Jay Gatsby, a mysteriously rich person who often throws fabulous parties in the night. Soon enough, Nick will see through the cracks of Gatsby's rich existence, where obsession, madness, and tragedy await. The story primarily concerns the young Jay Gatsby and his crazy obsession with the beautiful former debutante Daisy Buchanan, and how the two depict their passion towards each other.

3. Gone With the Wind
Gone With the Wind is a wonderfully crafted romance novel by American writer Margaret Mitchell in 1936. The story is about Clayton County and Atlanta in Georgia during the American Civil War. It depicts the dreadful struggles of young Scarlett O'Hara, the spoiled daughter of a well-to-do plantation owner. The story of the book takes you through the beginnings of the war, its peak, and its aftermath. Scarlett seems to hold up under the strain when she finally realizes her love for Rhett on the night of Melanie's death. The book delivers its most famous line - "My dear, I don't give a damn" after she realises her feelings for him. This is one of the classics that has been widely loved by readers across the world.
