Khaled Hosseini is an Afghani-American physician turned novelist. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, he moved to the United States in 1980. Hosseini is also a US Goodwill Envoy to United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the UN Refugee Agency. Hosseini is the founder of The Khaled Hosseini Foundation, a non-profit organisation that provides humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan. The author's novels reflect life in Afghanistan and have been widely critically and commercially acclaimed. These are the four books by the author.

1.      A Thousand Splendid Suns

A Thousand Splendid Suns is a 2007 novel by Hosseini. The title of the book comes from a line in the Josephine Davis translation of the poem, Kabul, by the 17th-century Iranian poet Saib Tabrizi.
