2020 will see the return of the world of The Hunger Games world as Collins pens down The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The book is based sixty-four years before the events from The Hunger Games series unfolded. The book will be published on May 19, 2020. Amnesty: A Novel by Aravind Adiga

Adiga’s next release, Amnesty: A Novel is scheduled for February 18, 2020. It talks about an illegal immigrant in Sydney, Australia and his moral struggles and realities of living there. The author is a past winner of the Man Booker Prize.

The Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare

The Chain of Gold will see an addition to the Shadowhunters series. The novel is the first in a new trilogy that will feature the Shadowhunters that hail from Edwardian London. The book will be releasing on March 3, 2020. Clare’s claim to fame is The Mortal Instruments, which is a 6-book series from 2007 to 2014.

A Long Petal of the Sea by Isabel Allende

Isabel Allende is a Chilean-American novelist who is famous for writing in the genre of magic realism. A Long Petal of the Sea is a historical fiction story that spans through decades and continents including a pair of youngsters who flee from the Spanish Civil War  The novel traces the story that talks about friendships, new beginnings, exile and patience. The book is expected to release on January 21, 2020.

Miss Austen by Gill Hornby

There is good news for all Jane Austen fans! Hornby, known for her wittiness and her flagrant style, is coming up with Miss Austen. It will deal with the relationship of Jane with her sister Cassandra. Set in 1840, the book will look at Cassandra’s hunt for a bunch of letters by Jane that must be found and destroyed. The novel is expected to release on April 7, 2020.
