Some people in the fashion industry, may argue that having a slimmer frame is preferable to one that is overly curvaceous. This perpetuates the misconception that many girls nowadays aspire to have the tall, slender body of runway supermodels. However, fashion designers also point out that while many trends suit slender bodies well, there are some essential pieces that any slender woman should own as well as other fashion faux pas that are better left untried.

Replace vertical stripes with horizontal ones

Vertical stripes can give the impression that you are tall and slender. When dressing in prints, be sure to balance out your vertical and horizontal stripes. While horizontal stripes from left to right can really make you appear large, downward straight lines can actually make the viewer's gaze travel from top to bottom, making you appear tall and slender.

Avoid skinny jeans

For girls who are thin, this is one of the most crucial pieces of fashion advice. Slim jeans frequently give the impression that a person has extraordinarily long legs, giving the impression that their entire body consists of legs. For slender females, flared or boot-cut pants are good options. They work wonders to provide the appearance of a curved silhouette.

V-necklines

V-necklines give the upper portion of your body more length. Open necklines, are the most flattering neckline style for short, slender figures. They can somewhat accentuate curves in addition to helping to lengthen your form.

Bold and bright

Bright colors can draw attention away from your weight. Black is thought to be a slimming hue, so stay away from it. Wearing all black accentuates your silhouette, so experiment with color combinations. Here, you can also make good use of textures and prints. These will focus attention on your clothing rather than your physical attributes.
