Global icon Priyanka Chopra has left no stone unturned to establish herself as a successful actor in the industry. There was a time when the actor was criticised for a variety of things including for her skin colour or marrying a man younger than her, but the criticism was something that the Quantico star seems to be least bothered about. The actor has always talked about women empowerment at various social and promotional events. A few months ago, she was seen at an event in Los Angeles addressing sisterhood, women empowerment, and failure.
The 37-year-old actor, who is also known for her unfiltered opinion, mentioned that the lack of opportunity creates the narrative of cat-fights among women. She said to create a sisterhood, we need to create more opportunities as a society for women to come forward and take the chance. The Isn't It Romantic star also mentioned that failure is just a phase of life, and everyone has bad days. The actor also mentioned how she feels when the media's attitude towards male and female actors are different.
Pointing out the issue, the Mary Kom actor said that whenever two female actors work together, the only thing people want to know is if they get along with each other. However, the case is not the same when it comes to male actors, rather they label their bond as a bromance. Adding to the conversation, the Desi Girl fame actor said that she knew from the start that she is a star in her ways, and she wants to create a world around her where women are managing and taking up challenges. She also stated that women are 50 per cent of the world's population, and that is a quite a strong reason for why women should be in power.
On the work front, the Baywatch actor just marked her comeback in Bollywood. She was seen sharing screen space with the actor Farhan Akhtar in their romantic-drama film The Sky Is Pink directed by Shonali Bose.
