Winter is a beautiful season, but people's closet is dominated by blacks and browns during this cold weather. Here are some colours suitable for winters.

As the weather gets colder and the days get greyer, we tend to start planning for our winter closet. When it’s winters, comfort is a priority with style not being neglected. Also, colours that keep you warm, such as black, browns and burgundy, are preferred. However, bright colours can be pulled off rightly with the knowledge of selecting the right shades and contrast. Here are some of the colours you can opt for this winter season.

Shades of Purple

Plum and mulberry are colours that tend to dominate our closet in winters. These colours give a royal look and also are easy to pair with basics. A classic and chic look can be created with plum, mulberry and even with lavender clothing pieces. You can pair basic whites or black with dark purple velvet pants. Also, layer your outfit with lavender coats and complete the look with plum corduroy hats and beanies.

Touch of wine

A colour shade like wine can be paired up with basics and also with a sequin dress. It is one of those winter colours that fit for both, casual and formal events. From full-length overalls to pullovers, you can grab any clothing item and recreate the best looks this winter.

Yellow

A bright colour is often a setback when it comes to winters. However, you can totally pull off a colour like yellow as it adds a little touch of brightness to your whole toned down outfit. Yellow fur jackets can be a preferred option or you can even keep the whole outfit in a dark colour and pair it up with mustard colour boots.

Army green

Fall colour in winters sounds weird, however, it is very quirky and casual too. Hunter green and emerald can be the most go-to shades. The shades of green can be paired with animal prints or even florals. An emerald blazer or an army green pleated skirt is ideal for formal outfits. It can be a perfect contrast and also not something that cannot be preferred for an everyday look.

Whites and blacks are the ‘must-haves’ in every winter closet. White is a chic winter colour and can be paired with bold colours with a clean contrast. Also, black being a dark colour is suitable for winters. Opt for long overalls or dresses in white and black.
