Books are magical and can take you into a different universe with each new book. The adrenaline rush that one gets while reading each chapter and anticipating the next is so special that it cannot be replaced by any movie. Books can also inspire people and make one think. So here is a list of top five books that are a must-read for every teenage girl.

1. The Golden Compass

The thriller by Philip Pullman tells one the adventurous journey of a young girl and her daemon. They unravel the mystery of her parents together. The book is so good that most readers enjoy it as teenagers and keep on re-reading it as an adult with the same level of excitement.

2. Eleanor & Park

The story of Eleanor & Park revolves around two sweet teenagers. They bond over their shared quirkiness and love of music. The book traces how Eleanor, who lives at her horrible step-father’s house, uses Park’s help to escape. The book looks at the friendship, loss, and longing that the two characters go through.

3. The Age Of Miracles

The bestselling novel is by author Karen Thompson Walker. It describes how, one particular day, the Earth started slowing down, which added more minutes in a day. This keeps happening before the protagonist’s birthday. It throws her family and her friends into chaos. 

4. Prep

Prep, written by Curtis Sittenfeld, is popularly considered to be a classic when it comes to teenage novels. The book traces the journey of a small-town girl who joins a fancy school. Her life is turned upside down when a journalist publishes her thoughts on racism and class.

5. Fangirl

From the author of Eleanor & Park, Rainbow Rowell, the book is based on college romance. It is about a girl who writes about her fan-fiction character. While her fascinating writings become famous online, it is her real-life struggles that form the story of the book.
