The Chief Executive Officer of Tesla Motors, Elon Musk, is all set to launch a new product, but this time, not a tech product. Seems like, Musk has taken the idea of what started out as an April Fools' Day joke very seriously. As per reports, the tech giant CEO is all set to launch a Tesla-themed tequila marking his debut in the brewing industry. In his recent tweets, Musk opened up about his plans to launch the drink. The drink which will be reportedly named  'Teslaquila '.

In fact, there is also a trademark application filing by Tesla on Monday, October 8, that reportedly seeks to protect the name 'Teslaquila' and identifies the product as "Distilled blue agave liquor."

Musk also confirmed the news as he took to Twitter on Friday, October 12, and stated, "Teslaquila coming soon …"

Here's the post:

He further tweeted a "Visual approximation" of the product which featured a 70 ml bottle with the Tesla label that read "100% PURO DE AGAVE" and claimed to have 40% alcohol content.

Here's the post:

Previously, on April 1, 2018, Musk tweeted about "Teslaquilla", which then had using two "l"s in the spelling, and joked that Tesla had gone bankrupt and that he had "passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by 'Teslaquilla' bottles."

However, reports suggest that there is no confirmation of whether the drink will be available in the market, as trademark means the company has a "good faith intention" to develop the brand. Musk who is known to be one of the most successful businessmen in the world rarely moves out of the news owing to his electric-car company, which is famous for various reasons. Tesla counts in one of the most expensive car brands and has outsold Mercedes-Benz in the United States of America. Musk agreed to relinquish his Tesla chairmanship in a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

However, Elon Musk has been dragged into several controversies in the recent days for his carefree behaviour. As per reports, he is being sued by a British diver who helped rescue children trapped in a mine in Thailand as he allegedly called him a “pedo” in a Twitter post. Moreover, the billionaire was reportedly spotted smoking a marijuana joint during a video podcast.
