Many of us change our diet according to seasons. A full-meal keeps us energetic for the day, but we often feel hungry. Snacks being a saviour for quick bites satisfy our small appetite. Here are some healthy snacks that you can keep handy for your quick bites during winters:

Sweet Potato Chips

To prepare this snack, pre-heat the oven to 415 degrees F and spread one sheet pan with parchment. In a bowl, pour the sweet potato slices and toss it with olive oil and herbed sea salt to taste. Once it is mixed, lay the slices on the sheet pan with parchment paper and place into the oven for 25-30 minutes until they turn brown. Before serving, toss with fresh lemon zest.

Cumin Spiced Almonds

You can prepare this snack very quick. All you need to do is mix the almonds with spices and toss it in a bowl with olive oil. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and later set the almonds on a large parchment paper. Bake them for 15 minutes and let the almonds cool down before serving. You can preserve them in an air-tight container for a long period. Dry chickpeas after rinsing them and remove the outer skin of it. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, zest, and olive oil with chickpeas, pepper and sea or normal salt according to your taste. Toss the mixture well. Spread them evenly on the baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F and place the sheet to bake. Bake them for 20-25 minutes and keep checking in between. Once it gets cooled down, preserve it in an air-tight container.

Apple Chips 

Back in our childhood, we often heard that an apple a day keeps a doctor away. The apple will keep your small hunger away too. Try this easy, healthy recipe. Preheat the oven to 225º F. Lay out the apple slices on a baking sheet. On one sheet of apples, spatter the mixture of cinnamon and sugar over the apples. Place the baking sheets in the prepared oven. Keep flipping the slices and continue baking for around two hours, until the apples are crispy. After it cools, store it in an airtight container.
