Rice is one of the staple food in India. It is also consumed almost all over India. There are hundreds of rice recipes that are made with a variety of spices in various regions. Rice makes for a delicious wholesome meal if teamed up with other ingredients. Here are quick and easy rice recipes that you would love to have.

1. Chicken Fried Rice

Chicken fried rice is one of the most wanted loved dish. In order to cook chicken fried rice, you need to first prepare the chicken by chopping into small pieces and sprinkle some salt over it. Leave aside for some time to marinate. Scramble couple of eggs. Later cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes. In 1 tbsp oil, add diced onions and toss till it changes colour to light brown. Later add garlic-ginger paste and carrots. Cook these vegetables for a couple minutes. Add the rice over these vegetables. Break the huge chunks of rice. Garnish with some coriander. Add some soy sauce. Your chicken fried rice is ready.

2. Vegetable Pulav

Making vegetable pulav is very simple. You need to soak rice in water for at least 30 minutes and later drain the water. Heat some oil in a pan and add whole spices until they are fragrant. Saute some diced onions. Once they turn brown add garlic-ginger and chilli paste. Add tomatoes and chopped veggies. You can also add coriander and mint leaves. Add rice and saute it for 2-3 minutes. Pour some water and add in some lemon drops. Season your vegetable pulav with salt. Cook this vegetable pulav until the water gets absorbed. 3. Ghee Rice

Making ghee rice will not take you more than 10 minutes. Take 1 tbsp of ghee, add bay leaf, anise, and cinnamon. Later add green chillies. Later add soaked and drained rice with a couple of cups of water. Add salt and cook the rice. You can garnish with nuts.
