Limiting sweets:

Consuming food items laden with sugar all the time can be dangerous because it attracts more bacteria in the mouth. Bacteria in the mouth produce high acids that can erode tooth enamel thus making decaying teeth. It is therefore advisable to cut down on foods and drinks that are high in acid such as sodas.

Quit Smoking:

Smoking is not only injurious to your lungs but it also affects your oral health. Moreover, it can lead to gum diseases, tooth decay and oral cancer. Smoking is hazardous and it is advisable to quit smoking to maintain good oral health.

Drink Water:

Up to 60 per cent of the human body is water. Naturally, it is one of the most important factors in maintaining overall health. Drinking water after your meals will clean the leftover food items in your mouth and neutralise the acidic nature of any sugary items that you have consumed.
