Holi 2025: Banks Will Be Closed On March 13 Or March 14; Online Banking And UPI Services To Be Unaffected

Holi will be celebrated on Friday, a day after holika dahan on March 13. Most of the banks will remain closed during this weekend.

Holi 2025: The festival of colours will be celebrated in India and abroad on March 14. Before that, Choti Holi will be celebrated on March 13 after holika dahan on the same night. As the festival is fast approaching, many are concerned about whether or not banks will be open and if online banking services will be available between March 13 and March 16.

In many states, March 13 has been declared a holiday due to Chotin Holi and holika dahan. On March 14 (Friday) banks will remained closed due to Holi. March 15 is the second Saturday of the month and is a bank holiday. Then March 16 is a holiday, given it is a Sunday.

After net banking and UPI services available on Holi?

It is important to know that while in-person banking services will not be available for four back-to-back days, all online services can be availed on various banking sites. Even if the banks are closed, digital processes and transactions will continue as normal. You can easily avail the benefits of ATM and online services and take out cash and use the machine for other banking services.
