Know All About The First Indian Woman To Win Miss Grand International Crown

Rachel Gupta became the first Indian woman to be crowned 'Miss Grand International' 2024 during the final leg of this prestigious event held in Thailand.

Her victory at the competition held in Bangkok is not only a personal achievement but also cements India's position in the realm of beauty pageants that adhere to international standards. Rachel outperformed contestants from across the world, ultimately bagging the crown over Christine Julian Opiaza from the Philippines.

This milestone achievement places Rachel as the first Indian and only the third Asian to earn the Miss Grand International title, underscoring her poise, talent, and dedication. The grand finale, held last Friday, showcased her exceptional demeanor, stage presence, and intellegence as she triumphed over fierce competitors, including Su Nyen from Myanmar, who placed third, and Talita Hartmann from Brazil, who took fourth.

The reigning Miss Grand International, Luciana Fuster from Peru, crowned Rachel, marking a significant moment in the pageant’s history. Notably, this win is Rachel’s second international title, following her shared victory in the Super Talent of the World competition in Paris, where she competed alongside Veronica Novak of Poland. This earlier title also holds historical significance, as Indian film icon Zeenat Aman won it in 1970.

Before her international success, she earned the title of Miss Grand India 2024 in Jaipur, Rajasthan , in May. Her early debut on the global stage came in 2022 when she participated in Miss Super talent Season 15 in Paris.
