This novel is a powerful, majestic feminist novel written by Krishna Sobti. The novel focuses on the aftermath of the Partition in the eyes of a canonical Hindi writer. A Gujarat Here, A Gujarat There opens in the year 1947 in Delhi - a city abundant with refugees. The story asks a hard-hitting question “How long will this idyll last?”.
