Karjat is located on the basin of the Ulhas River. Ancient cave temples, forts, mountains, and natural landscape make this Konkani town a famous weekend getaway from Mumbai. It is quite famous for trekking and other adventurous activities. The paths range from low to high difficulty, which makes it among the best places for a weekend near Mumbai.
