NAGARJUNA SAGAR DAM:

It is one of the top tourist attractions in the state of Telangana. Built on the beautiful Krishna river is the Nagarjuna Sagar dam, which is about 165 kilometres away from the busy city life of Hyderabad. The spot is a perfect getaway option during weekends. It is located in the Nalgonda district of Telangana state. The Nagarjuna Sagar dam is also the second-largest water reservoir in India after Indira Sagar in Madhya Pradesh. The dam has a beautiful serene view, with lush green surroundings. The most favourable trait about this dam is its connectivity through the roads. One can also witness historical Buddhist excavations at the Nagarjuna Sagar dam.

BELUM CAVES:

Another destination where you can spend your entire weekend exploring history is the Belum caves. These caves are 3,229 metres long and are the longest caves in the entire nation. Located in Kurnool district of Telangana. The Belum caves have long widespread chambers as well. The caves also hold significant historical importance attached to it with respect to Buddhist monks. The Belum caves are 320 kilometres away from Hyderabad, and one can easily reach there by travelling in a car. It takes around 6 hours and 45 minutes from Hyderabad to reach Belum caves. One can also witness a massive lord Buddha statue near the caves. The entry fees for visiting the caves is Rs. 50, and you can go anytime between 10 am to 5 pm, all days of the week.

HAMPI:

Hampi is an exceptionally famous World Heritage UNESCO site in India. The town of Hampi is 370 Kilometres from the Hyderabad city and takes about eight hours of time to reach by road. It is a perfect destination to spend your weekend in the company of your family and friends. Hampi is also home to quite a few temples of Vedic mythology. Hampi is not a part of Telangana state, instead, it lies in the Ballari district of Karnataka. It is a village which is the remains of the Vijayanagara empire and is a must-visit tourist destination.
