  • Shaniwarwada: One of the most popular tourist destinations in Pune is the historically significant Shaniwarwada, which was home to the Peshwas back in 1732. It is a majestic fort with five gates facing different directions namely Dilli Darwaza, Narayan Darwaza, Mastani Darwaza, Ganesh Darwaza, and Khidki Darwaza.
     
  • The Aga Khan Palace: The palace has an integral history attached to it with relevance to the fight for the Indian Freedom Movement. It is famous for an unfortunate incident that happened in Indian history. This was the demise of Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadev Desai, family members of Mahatma Gandhi during the Indian freedom struggle. The palace is beautifully built and has an intricate architectural design, which is a must-visit, when in Pune city.

  • Dorabjee’s Restaurant: A popular hangout site for families and college students, famous for its authentic and delicious Parsi food. Built-in 1878, the Dorabjee’s restaurant is food lover’s dream destination. Dorabjee’s grocery stores are also there in the same vicinity, from where you can shop for desired perishable or non-perishable food items.
