Watchers of Blue Planet Live, a BBC documentary, were shocked to see a baby turtle that had just been released into the ocean at Heron Island get swooped down on and grabbed by a seagull.
As the host, Liz Bonnin, is seen crouched by the beach at Heron Island, situated near the Tropic of Capricorn in the southern Great Barrier Reef, she’s seen talking about the newly-hatched turtles who were stuck in their nest prior to her releasing of them in the ocean.

The terror of shock was followed on to Twitter as many people were seen tweeting about this viral clip, calling it a “traumatic end.”
