Oberoi Realty sales bookings drop 17% annually in Q2

Oberoi Realty, a real estate company based in Mumbai, has announced a 17 per cent decrease in its sales bookings, which amounted to Rs 965 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. This figure is in contrast to the sales bookings of Rs 1,156 crore during the same period in the previous year.
The company disclosed in a regulatory filing on October 20 that it secured bookings for 151 units in the July-September quarter, a rise from the 132 units recorded in the corresponding period last year. In terms of the area sold, Oberoi Realty's sales bookings covered 2,20,828 square feet of carpet area in the second quarter of this fiscal year, compared to 2,33,947 square feet in the previous year.
For the first half of the fiscal year, the company reported booking 261 units, which is a decline from the 296 units booked in the previous year. The sales volume also decreased to 3,66,716 square feet for the April-September period, down from 4,78,892 square feet during the same period in the previous year.
