Strawcture, Enlite, and SuperBolter have secured the top three positions in the Proptech challenge hosted by CBRE in collaboration with Nasscom. Strawcture, a startup focused on creating building materials from crop residues, claimed the first prize. Enlite, based in Mumbai was named the first runner-up, and SuperBolter, located in Bengaluru and specialising in interior design solutions, was recognised as the second runner-up.

The competition, known as 'DISRUPTECH 2.0,' saw participation from approximately 400 startups representing 45 cities. A panel of industry experts assessed the top 11 finalists and chose the three winners. These winning startups will receive support in securing funding, mentorship, and access to companies seeking innovative technologies in the real estate sector.

Anshuman Magazine, Chairperson and CEO for India, South East Asia, Middle East, and Africa at CBRE, highlighted the rapid adoption of technology in real estate, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. He also mentioned that the proptech market is projected to reach $1 trillion in the next 7-8 years, although he did not disclose the current size of the Indian proptech market.

The competition featured entries categorised into ESG, Fintech, construction technology, and indigenous tech for the local market. Anshuman Magazine emphasised CBRE's plan to foster proptech in India and advance the real estate industry into a globally competitive future through the 'DISRUPTECH 2.0' initiative.

The winning startups will receive rewards and recognition, access to angel funding for real estate projects, participation in the CBRE Global Startup program, opportunities for proof of concept collaborations with CBRE clients, access to the Nasscom startup ecosystem, guidance from seasoned investors, and valuable marketing support from CBRE Advisory. The platform's primary aim is to identify, mentor, and cultivate cutting-edge technology solutions that will propel the Indian real estate industry forward in the years to come.
