Science News: A rare celestial event is set to happen this week with the alignment of seven planets in the night sky.

The planets—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—will appear in a curved line across the sky, known as the ecliptic, which is the path the Sun traces.

Why This Celestial Event Is Special?

While five planets—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn—will be visible to the naked eye, Uranus and Neptune will require binoculars or a telescope to spot. Such alignments are rare, occurring only a handful of times per century.

When Will It Happen Next?

The next opportunity to see a similar alignment will be in 2036, and then again in 2060.

The experts have suggested that the best viewing times are shortly after sunset, when the sky is still light enough to see the planets but dark enough to reduce glare. Observers should find a location with minimal light pollution and an unobstructed view of the horizon for optimal viewing.

This event is not just a spectacle but also a reminder of the vastness and complexity of our solar system.

It offers a chance for both amateur and professional astronomers to observe the planets in a unique configuration, providing insights into their orbits and positions relative to Earth.
