Isaiah Thomas on injury, time at Celtics and NBA comeback with Wizards

Isaiah Thomas' career has taken a downward slide ever since his hip injury sidelined him for a long time. The only question that the point guard would ask himself was, "Is my hip really going to be OK? Am I ever going to play without pain?"

His questions were finally answered when he took the court for Washington Wizards which also gave him a chance to rebuild his image as a game-changer in the league. The 5-foot-9 star was once a force to be reckoned with on the court.

Speaking to the US media, the 30-year-old revealed how things have turned back around for him and that he is at a good place mentally. He also added that he has seen all of it and that’s why now he just smiles.

Isaiah Thomas has had his fair share of setbacks which also included failed stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. The Washington product underwent two major right hip surgeries after first hurting his hip in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017.

He was a star at Boston Celtics but going away from the city that he had embraced during his two years wasn't easy. In his interview, he said that Boston will always have his heart, because he went through a real-life situation there, and that city 'rolled' with him. He also said that he doesn’t wish them bad luck.

Isaiah Thomas performance for Wizards  

Thomas is now back at his best and also is becoming the difference-maker for the Wizards. With four games under his belt, he's averaging a solid 14.5 points and seven assists per game while shooting 43.1% from the field and 36% from three.
