James Harden cheekily salutes after draining 3-pointer during Rockets vs Clippers game

James Harden was at his best yet again scored 47 points against Los Angeles Clippers in which he shot 12-of-26 from field and 7-of-13 from three-point range.

James Harden was in red-hot form against Los Angeles Clippers, helping his team Houston Rockets to 102-93 victory against the visiting team at Toyota Center. The victory leaves Rockets improving their record to 8-3, leaving them close on the heels of the Los Angeles Lakers.

James Harden onslaught on Clippers 

Harden scored 47 points in which he shot 12-of-26 from the field and 7-of-13 from three-point range. The Houston star buried 1 points late in the fourth quarter which helped Rockets overcome an 84-80 deficit with 5 minutes 52 seconds remaining. He has now scored 40 or more points in five of his 11 games.  Russell Westbrook had a game to forget with just 17 points and Clint Capela chipped in with 12 points in Rockets' victory.

For Clippers, Kawhi Leonard led the way with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Lou Williams scored 20 points while coming off the bench. JaMychal Green added 14 points as the Clippers fell to 7-4 with the defeat. The Clippers also had coach Doc Rivers ejected in a surreal exchange late in the fourth quarter which saw his son and Rockets shooting guard Austin Rivers -- urging officials to toss him.

The highlight moment of the match was when Harden casually walked into an uncontested 3-pointer, drained it, and saluted to the camera. Harden knows where the cameras are at all times.

The Clippers are likely to welcome six-time All-Star Paul George against the New Orleans Pelicans after his recovery from shoulder surgeries. The Rockets will host the Indiana Pacers.
