NBA 2019-20: LA Lakers race past the Hawks 122-101, LeBron James scores 33

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Atlanta Hawks 122-101 on Monday, November 18 IST (Sunday, November 17 PST). The match was held at the Lakers' home, Staples Center in Los Angeles, USA. LeBron James scored game-high 33 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds. This was James' 11th double-double for the season. Kyle Kuzma added 17 points, while Rajon Rondo added 15 of his own. Anthony Davis, Caldwell-Pope, Danny Green and Alex Caruso scored 14, 13 and 11 points respectively. Davis also had 5 of 14 blocked shots of the Lakers. Trae Young scored 31 points for the Hawks and Cam Reddish added 13 points. Jabari Parker and De’Andre Hunter both added 11 points each respectively.

James' 12 points were scored in the opening 9 minutes of Q1. James further scored two lay-ups and a three-pointer which helped the Lakers get a 25-point advantage with 3 minutes still left in Q1. The Hawks then went on a 13-0 run to reduce the point difference to 34-22. They reduced it to 10 points before the Lakers scored back-to-back points to regain the massive lead. James hit 3 straight three-pointers for the Lakers early in Q3 along with a fallaway jumper.
