Miami Heat are currently off to a good start with winning 9 of their 12 games this season so far. However, with an eye on winning the Eastern Conference as well as next year’s Finals, Heat could still think about upgrading their current roster. The latest rumour in NBA is that Heat is planning to create the Big 3 with Chris Paul, Jimmy Butler And Kevin Love before the February trade deadline.
Having left Houston Rockets, Paul is currently playing for Oklahoma City Thunder. To acquire Paul, the Heat could just offer a trade package including Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters.
If Heat manage to convince the Thunder to make a deal, they should also push for acquiring services of Kevin Love from the Cavaliers.
Bringing in Chris Paul and Kevin Love will only maximise Jimmy Butler’s chances of winning the championship. Paul and Love may have injury issues in the past, but when fit, they could give the Heat two All-Star-caliber players who are very reliable scoring options.
The potential “Big Three” of Butler, Love, and Paul would not only make the Heat a legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference, but it would also give them a realistic chance of winning the NBA trophy this season.
