Russell Westbrook ridicules Patrick Beverley's defensive lapses, says he does nothing

Rockets' Russell Westbrook has ridiculed LA Clippers' Patrick Beverley's defence after James Harden scored 47 points in the Rockets vs Clippers game.

Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley were kept relatively apart during the Rockets vs Clippers game, but there's clearly no love lost between the two. Patrick Beverley got into some trouble during the latter stage of the Rockets vs Clippers game. Pat Beverly was called for his sixth foul when he bodychecked Rockets superstar James Harden. With the crowd cheering, his rival Russell Westbrook was seen waving him goodbye.

With Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley sharing the court for the first time since Westbrook moved to the Houston Rockets, tensions were likely to boil over during the game. The pair share a feud going back to 2013 when Patrick Beverley injured Russell Westbrook who was then playing for Oklahoma City Thunder. Considering that it was a playoff game, Westbrook's frustration seemed justified.

Since then, the pair have been at each others' throats in the media whenever their teams face each other. After the Rockets vs Clippers game, Westbrook gave an interview pointing out Pat Beverley's lapse in defence. Russell Westbrook also went on to say that Patrick Bevelrley's reputation as a defensive stopper is overrated after Rockets superstar James Harden scored 47 points against him.

Last year, Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley had to be separated by the police when the pair came to blows in a heated exchange during the LA Clippers game against Oklahoma City Thunder. Beverley's main assignment on the night may have been to stop the rampaging James Harden. However, Russell Westbrook clearly thought that Beverley did an unimpressive job, to say the least.
