Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has found the perfect way to encapsulate and remind viewers about the explosiveness of his fellow opener Virender Sehwag.

On Sehwag's 40th birthday, which fell on Saturday, Sachin, like a number of other current and former cricketers and thousands of fans, took to social media to wish him. In his wish, Sachin, who opened many one-day innings for India with Sehwag, with the latter generally facing the first ball, posted a photo of both of them on a couch.

In the photo, Sachin looks like he's making an observation to Sehwag, who is clearly amused. The contents of the room are also very interesting, including a banana and a bright yellow typewriter, but it's not as intriguing as Sachin's caption, the first part of which reads as follows:

"141.211416441116464"

Puzzled? That's Sachin's intent. He then explains it as follows:

"Not a GPS location, but the way my friend @virendersehwag used to smash runs! Happy Birthday, 'Veer'u!"

So as per Sachin's arbitrary but undoubtedly informed assessment, having faced 19 balls, the following would have been Sehwag's stats:

Balls faced: 19
Dot balls: 1
Singles: 8
Twos: 1
Fours: 6
Sixes: 3
Total runs: 52
Strike rate: 273

While Sachin and Sehwag tore many bowling line-ups apart, perhaps their finest hour came in the 2003 World Cup encounter with Pakistan when the fearsome twosome came up against the equally-fearsome Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, and hammered them, in particularly Akhtar, then perhaps the quickest bowlers in the world, who was memorably hit for carbon-copy sixes by the Indian batsmen. India ended up winning by 6 wickets with Tendulkar scoring 98, and went on to finish runners-up in the tournament.

A number of those who have commented have also spoken fondly about Sachin and Sehwag's time together:

gajbhiyeaditya Besides a good human and the best attacking batsman... Peoples were calling him second Sachin of the world but he proved that he is the only one Shewag !!! Hbd
