After IPL and ahead of the Word Cup, Virat Kohli is chilling with this special companion and no, it is not Anushka Sharma

From a poor IPL season to carrying the massive expectations of 130 crore Indians before the World Cup, a captain’s job is not easy as Virat Kohli would know. However, amid the  two high-pressure tournaments, the cricket superstar is chilling out by enjoying some quality time with a very special companion. No, we’re not talking about his actor-wife Anushka Sharma. The 30-year-old seemed most at peace with a dog.

Virat on Tuesday took to social media to share a candid snap with a dog. One can see the duo looking intently at a person or an object while lying on the floor. The batsman didn’t need a caption per se and his emoticon of a dog said it all about his feelings.

The fact that Virat is a dog lover is well-known. His social media handle features occasional posts about dogs, but his emotions for him always come out beautifully.

 

Among his earliest posts featured his pet named Bruno. 

Even Anushka is a dog lover.

She too has often posted about her pet named Dude while her delight in sharing a snap with a dog always comes across in the caption.

Meanwhile, Virat will be leading a 15-member Indian squad for the World Cup, that kicks off in England and Wales on May 30.
