He is one of the most successful captains in IPL history and has led Mumbai to title triumphs in 2013, 2015 and 2017 respectively. The dynamic Indian opener was first appointed as the skipper of Mumbai Indians in 2013.

On the occasion of his 100th game as a captain for Mumbai, his team Mumbai Indians decided to honour him by posting an image on Twitter.

Rohit could not feature in Mumbai's last game against Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday as the 'Hitman' had suffered a right leg muscle spasm while practicing a day prio. The Team India opener had limped back to the dressing room post which he did not take any further part in the training session.  As a result, Kieron Pollard was made the stand-in captain and he scored a blistering 31-ball 83 which helped Mumbai register a three-wicket win on the last ball of the game. 

Mumbai Indians are peaking at the right time as they have succeeded in registering a hat-trick of wins in the last 10 days. In all the three games, the three-time champions staged an epic comeback to emerge victorious. Mumbai are now a force to reckon with as they are at the third position in the points table having registered four wins from six games. MI will now look to edge past KKR to grab the second position in the points table with a win over a struggling Rajasthan Royals who are at the seventh position, having won only a single game in six matches.
