Our freedom from the colonial regime was an outcome of great sacrifices by our freedom fighters, as their efforts gave us sovereignty and unity in diversity. However, today, we might not realise how important and valuable this freedom is. While it gave us freedom from colonisation, it also provided freedom to live our lives the way we want, with all possible luxuries.

VVS Laxman, like Sachin, dedicated his tweet to the freedom fighters. While, flamboyant all-rounder Yuvraj Singh posted a video where he wished the people on the wondrous occasion.
